I like taking pictures. I try to capture in my photos what my mind sees when i look at something that makes me want to take my camera out and start shooting. I'd say that a major attribute that comes out into my pictures is emotion. Emotions which are portrayed solely by the scene i am shooting, and/or emotions which the scene i am shooting makes me feel.

Devious Info

  • Current Residence: Winnipeg
  • Favourite genre of music: Any song that makes my body flow to its layers while seeping through my emotions and ideals.
  • Tools of the Trade: My Camera, Photoshop, my eyes, my dreams.

I have created a new folder in my gallery, specifically used for all of the Folk Fest photos I've taken over the years. The idea behind the folder is not so much the photography in itself but also a view into what Folk Fest looks like. And because Folk Fest is quickly approaching yet again, this is timed wisely :P

Also, anything before 2007 or 2008 was captured with a lower quality point and shoot and so the photos aren't as many nor as great. I've greatly improved since then, and i cannot wait to go this year with my DSLR and take mad photos!

A little bit of history: The Winnipeg Folk Festival, for those of you who don't know what it is is a Festival held every summer at a close by Provincial Park here in Manitoba, where one can camp and listen to music from around the world. It's pretty awesome and has gotten quite huge. The campground (the festival camping) in itself is something to experience fully. Of course, without the 4 day pass to the festival you cannot just go camping, so the two go hand in hand. It's my only vacation away from home most years so i take advantage when it comes around.
